The identical position, priced on each venue’s own settlement interval rather than on the assumption that they match. Amber is a cost to you, cyan is a payment received. A smaller quoted rate is not a smaller cost: Hyperliquid quotes 0.0000125 per settlement against Binance’s 0.0001 and, settling every 1h against 8h — 720 times over 30 days against 90 — lands on the same $90.00.
Where the daily reading goes wrong
Venues quote funding per settlement, not per day. Hyperliquid settles every 1 hour, so a 30-day hold crosses 720 settlements, not 30. Treating the quoted figure as a daily rate understates the cost of this hold 24×.
